Granite Heights Winery: Winter Wine Tasting

We are opening our tasting room for wine tastings on this Sat in March (3/18/16) form 12-5pm. Luke and Toni will be here to greet you. We will also have a vertical flight of our estate wine-humility (Red Bordeaux blend) at 4pm by reservation only. Seating will be limited to make for a more intimate event. Prepaid reservations will be accepted up to the week prior.
Beliveau Estate Winery: Prime Time Wine

The “Prime Time Wine Series” is an event Beliveau Estate will be hosting twice a year in both the spring and fall. We will be hosting two guest Virginia Farm wineries for each event to not only give wine lovers from Southwest Virginia a chance to try wines from around the state, but also a chance to meet with and chat with their owners/ winemakers in a more personal setting than your typical festivals. Guest Wineries for March 18th, will be Glass House and another winery still tbd. We will also have live music by jazz vocalist, Celie Holmes.

We will be having Sunday Brunch at Bluestone Vineyard on March 19th with seating beginning at 10:30 am and going until 1:30pm. We are working with Chef Brian Gooch to bring guests a wonderful Sunday meal and allow them to enjoy the views that can only be found at Bluestone. Bluebee cider: Heirloom apple and cheese pairing

Part of our Cider Academy workshops and classes, the Heirloom Cider and Cheese Pairing class features vertical tastings of the 2015 and 2016 vintages of two very rare ciders, Hewe’s Crab and Harrison, and cheeses selected by Truckle Cheesemongers. First Seating: 1:00-2:00 pm • Second Seating: 3:00-4:00 pm The tasting will include the 2015 and 2016 vintages of both the Hewe’s Crab and Harrison ciders. The 2016 Hewe’s Crab is otherwise only available to Blue Bee Cider Club members. Ciders will be accompanied by cheese pairings from Richmond pop-up cheese shop, Truckle Cheesemongers. $50 admission includes historical talk, guided tasting of ciders and cheeses, and a copy of Tom Burford’s book, Apples of North America: 192 Exceptional Varieties for Gardeners, Growers, and Cooks.
