Virginia Wine Month is in full swing, Folks. Need proof? This week is packed with more wine-sipping, grape-stomping, apple-picking, guitar-strumming, picnic-packing, hay-riding, draft-drinking, pie-eating, harvest-loving, holiday-shopping, bottle-popping fun than you can shake a stick at.

DelFosse has a new second location in Crozet! October is Virginia Wine Month and to celebrate the Wine Shop is offering our regular 7 wine, $5 tasting for only $1 all month long! Stop by for a tasting and stay to enjoy a glass or bottle in our garden area. There is local produce and snacks for sale by our neighbors the Village Market that are perfect for enjoying along some DelFosse wine. The new shop is easy to find. We are right off route 250 just west of the I64 exit 107 interchange.

From 5-8 pm Keswick Vineyards will be continuing their Friday Night Sunset Concert Series with an awesome performance by Erin and the Wildfire! Their unique brand of soulful rock has helped to establish them as one of the premier up-and-coming acts in the vibrant local music scene. The group’s sound combines the raw funk-infused energy of the Wildfire with powerful and expressive lead vocals from frontwoman Erin Lunsford. Bring a chair, a blanket, or come early and grab a table and dance the night away as the sun sets over the vineyard. Food will be available for purchase from Black Jack’s Mobile Soul Food Kitchen. Picnics are welcome; however, no outside alcohol is permitted. All ages.

From 11-4 pm , head to Ingleside to celebrate the 35th harvest! Take a tour of Ingleside’s vineyards and winery, enjoy artwork, crafts and delicious food. Sit in the courtyard and relax (or dance) while listening to live music and sipping wine. Hayrides and more for the kids! Includes tour, tasting, Ingleside wine glass, live music. Food available for sale or bring a picnic. Admission $15 ($10 in advance)

From 1-4pm, Chateau MerrillAnne will be hosting their first annual “Girls on Grapes” event. This event features numerous vendors geared towards the gals! There will be no admission charge and tastings will be just $2. Tastings of Chateau MerrillAnne wine will be available as will wine by the glass or bottle.
