Cheers to You, America!
Happy Birthday, America! While most of the country celebrates you with you with flag-printed sleeveless tees, cans of PBR, and a box of Pop-its…we, here in Virginia, the very origin of our freedoms— do things a just a little better.
Our forefathers not only fought for, earned, and worked to define the amazing freedoms we enjoy today, they also had another vision. Thomas Jefferson, for example, dreamed that Virginia would produce and export wines that were as palatable as those made in Europe. He never saw his dream come to fruition.
Now, however, Virginia, as acknowledged by Trip Advisor, is a top wine destination. Our wines are exported both domestically and abroad. Virginia wines are wining international acclaim.
Below are a few notable events for this 4th of July weekend that celebrate the way our forefathers would have wanted: with, what else? Virginia Wine!
