Local Wine with a German Influence
AmRhein’s Wine Cellars is family owned and operated, handcrafting award winning wines situated off the Blue Ridge Parkway Milepost 136 in Southwest Virginia. Their three vineyards at three different locations with varying soils and elevations afford them the luxury of designing all of their wines from 100% estate grown grapes. This is unique in the industry. AmRhein’s vineyards were first planted in 1995, and the first crush occurred in 1999. They offer fifteen wines in classic styles of reds and whites, and are bottled at our Bent Mountain vineyard. Their 40 Blue Ridge Mountain acres yield 20 varieties of grapes offering 100% estate grown grapes. AmRhein’s Wine Cellars is a true and distinct ‘taste of the Blue Ridge Mountains’ specializing in wines with a German influence; they are a two time winner of the coveted Virginia Governor’s Cup Award.
